Confusing, Slow, Uncommunicative, Painful. The HR and recruiters seemed to be on different pages.
This is actually for interview about a year ago and one about a year before that. Both had similar unprofessional experiences and I wanted to take some time before reflecting so to avoid any negative responses that was not warranted.
The interviewers, I felt were straight forward and I enjoyed interviewing with them. They were knowledgable and seemed to want to improve their process. I felt there was a excellent fit and I would have been able to provide some strong leadership, but after the interview things dragged on requiring multiple followups and eventually the not going forward communication that just so happened to occur after about 5 or 6th follow up communications and as a result of my 7th.
Normally I would have just written it off as another unprofessional recruiter/HR experience, but since my previous interview with this company was a zero feedback experience, I felt I needed to finish it. Well at least on the 2nd I did receive a no, but nothing as to why which I know is not common but welcomed so I know where I may need to improve during my next interview. I always see these experiences as a 50/50, but about 85% of the time the other side does not. After about a week, it became to me obviously I was the plan B or C and they were looking for someone more aligned with the aviation industry or someone they can get cheaper.
Bottom line, technology group seems to be moving in the right direction, but the HR group and recruiters need to step up their game. One of the worst experiences I have had interviewing a company.
