I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Papa John's (Springfield, OH) in Jan 2012
Interview
It was very informal and quick. Basic walk through of the store, make sure license and insurance are good, when can you start. Training is equally basic, really it is left to the driver's and insiders to answer peoples questions and train them, hit or miss if you get the same good advice or the same "trainer" day to day. Lots of training videos, but they don't really reflect how the job actually is and they seemed insulting to me, or at least very, very poorly acted.

Applied online then came in for an interview. Was fairly simple, asked my experience and how I see myself fitting in with the rest of the team and workers. Also asked how many pizzas I can fit in my car.
I applied for the job, got the call back for an interview and got started after signing the contract. It wasn't hard, they asked me a few questions about my past experiences and my goals of the position.
It was easy enough. They asked me if I can drive and come on time. I said I did. They also told me I have to add something to Glassdoor to keep using it. Please disregard this note, I never actually worked at Papa John's
