1 (one) week after applying on-line they set up a web interview with the HR representative. The interview was pretty standard, validating what you write on the resume and last about 30 min. After passing this stage, one week later, I had another 20-min phone call with my potential boss and the HR person, this time to discuss business issues related to the position. One week later, an in-depth web call with the HR person, future potential boss and a marketing executive: 90 min, panel-style (behavioral interview - STAR approach), made of what-if real-life scenarios discussion. One week later, another web call with the boss of the potential boss: another 30-min round of business-related Q&A. Finally - and this is the bizarre part - they put you to perform an on-line cognitive ability/skills test from a company called Revelian, one of these stupid steps that used to be trendy in the nineties, just a little bit more "high tech" now. Video-gameish foolisheness.
The HR representative kept giving you regular updates via e-mail until you get discarded as a candidate. Then the HR person give you a short one-line excuse and your are history to them: no detailed justification about the reason why you have not been selected.
In the end - for this particular position - they hire nobody with the job description published on LinkedIn: a huge waste of time for all sides involved (I wonder if the president of the company knows about this farce...) Very impolite and unprofessional professional selection process in its very end. Pity. Typical of small companies: why I was not surprised?
