Interview
Interview process involved an HR screening; a few initial video conferences with the team for which you're interviewing; an assignment for skills assessment and demonstration; an in-office presentation; and finally about a half-day for more in-depth meetings in person. HR was very responsive throughout the ~3 week process, and clearly communicated next steps over email. Casual/relaxed work environment, so didn't need to dress up in "professional" attire. In-person meetings were relaxed and conversational, focusing mostly on thought process and approach behind portfolio projects, and ability to back-up design decisions with research/data.

Interview
The first step was a 30 minute phone call screen with HR, the main question being what I am looking for in my next role. The second round was a video interview with the head of Product Design, which mainly consisted of walking through a project on my portfolio. The last round was an in-person design exercise with two other product designers.

The first interview consisted of a 20-minute interview with an HR employee. The questions focused on my past experience and were very thorough. The phone interview was smooth and not stressful. A few business days later I set up an in-person interview. I met the HR employee in person, but she seemed less relaxed in-person than on the phone. I went to the interview room, but there was no screen or computer to share, so I had to use the interviewers' laptop, which was a little awkward. The interview lasted for less than an hour, and the two people interviewing me seemed like they couldn't wait for it to be over. They barely talked, and when I reached out to shake hands at the end to thank them, one employee had bolted for the door leaving my hand hanging in mid-air. I wasn't sure where the disconnect was, but I wish I hadn't wasted my time going for the in-person interview when clearly from the moment I arrived there wasn't an interest in hiring me. I doubt I will get an offer, but even if I do, I would decline.
