      Manager Interview

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ParentSquare in Sep 2025

      Interview

I think my experience here mirrors the last couple of reviews you've seen. If you reached this page, it's because there's probably some gut feeling you're having about the company. And your gut reaction would be correct. I interviewed for a Manager position which they've had open for quite some time. I know because I originally wasn't interested in it, but the recruiter came back again 6 months later with the same position. I took the intial interviews (all 6 of them) which went great! But tale as old as time, after the final 7th or 8th interview, they decided to give me the excuse of wanting to change direction in their company... ... only for them to reach back out to me *ANOTHER* 6 months later for the same role. What I did gather that is unique about this company is: - They are very top heavy so are trying to fill this role with a unicorn. - Micromanaged leaders. Every single decision must be vetted by the company's founders who are married to each other. - VPs that really wanted a hire, would drag their feet during the process. Not because they're being disrespectful to you, but probably because they know their decision won't hold weight.

      Interview

I had 7 interviews on separate days, two of which were panel interviews. I was told I was being considered for several roles and they were trying to figure out the best fit for me of those. After the last interview, I didn't hear anything for several weeks and then was finally told others were hired for those roles but there was another position opening up that I might be a fit for and they'd like to schedule another interview. It was a frustrating experience that went on for months, but I genuinely enjoyed meeting everyone that I did and it seemed like a good company. I'm bummed I didn't get an offer and wish they had been a little more respectful of my time and effort, but I hope they found the right fit for their company and everyone is doing well.
