I applied online. I interviewed at Paycom (Oklahoma City, OK) in Feb 2022
Interview
Recruiter Screening, Panel Interview, Final Interview with Design Manager + Design Assessment. I applied to Paycom with an employee referral and then connected with the recruiter on LinkedIn. He called me 2 weeks later for a phone interview. He was extremely professional. He explained how the design team works at Paycom. Although I wasn't moved to the next round of the interview process, I will definitely be applying to this role again in the future; because it sounded like the design team really cares about junior designers and is willing to mentor them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you willing to relocate? Who was your most recent employer? How do you hand pushback from stakeholders? Do you know Confluence & Jira?
I had a phone screener with a recruiter who talked a lot about how Paycom prioritizes feedback for candidates, even when they reject them. I was then ghosted. On their application portal I am still considered an active candidate for the role so I cannot reapply, despite Paycom continuing to accept applications for the role.
