I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom (San Jose, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
- I applied online from Indeed and created an account on the company website to submit my resume and cover letter and requested information
- About a week later I received an email from a Senior Sales Recruiter for an initial interview. From there, the next step was a Zoom meeting with the hiring director.
- Jillian Roberts, the recruiter who reached out to me, was amazingly helpful and encouraging about preparing me for my interviews. She genuinely wants to help candidates get the role and will do what she can to prepare you on what to look out for and answer any questions you have.

Application
I applied online. I interviewed at Paycom (Fort Worth, TX) in May 2026
Interview
Starts with a quick recruiter call and then the process is supposed to be:
1 Hour virtual with Hiring Manager
30 min virtual with Regional Manager
1 hour presentation in Person
THEY ARE EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED.
My initial recruiter call was cancelled about 10 minutes beforehand because the " role had been filled." At first I did not think too much and my recruiter was very nice and moved my application for an opening at another location. After having the recruiter call she had then scheduled me to meet with a hiring manager. They send you a lot of stuff to review beforehand to prepare and is the only company that demanded a full suite for the interview. I prepped and was in the Zoom to meet with the hiring manager 10 minutes beforehand and just 5 minutes before what the start of the interview was supposed to be I get an email " the role has been filled and the interview is cancelled." Total waste of time, another recruiter reached out and said they would be calling me at a certain time and never called. I like to give people and companies the benefit of the doubt, but they cancel interviews last minute and want you to chase them. I had taken the day off of work to accommodate the hiring manager interview that was cancelled last minute.
