I applied online. I interviewed at Paylocity (Meridian, ID) in Apr 2020
Interview
Not very technical. However, the challenge is that they try to throw you off with very specific questions about your experiences coupled with broad questions.
For instance, they would ask me three parts of my past job that I hated the most, and why, and I had to be very specific and detailed with exact situations, time, place, solution, etc. And then they would turn around and ask me what is the one single most proud moment in my life has been. They didn't hit me with any technical questions but I found those specific situational questions back to back with huge broad questions to be more challenging that I would have initially thought.
The key to interviewing here (for this position at least) is to come in with SPECIFIC situations and instances of you problem solving, critically thinking, etc. in your life.

Question 1
What is a very detailed and specific situation that you solved a problem? How did you solve it? What was your thought process? What was the outcome of the situation?
I applied online. I interviewed at Paylocity (Schaumburg, IL) in Jun 2026
Interview
The interview process started with 4 assessments. There were timed math, spatial awareness and reasoning assessments and an untimed behavioral assessment. From there I was contacted for a Microsoft teams interview with my recruiter. After that, there was an in-person interview with the hiring managers. I had a third interview on Teams, but I don't think that is normally the case. All in all the process was great, they made it easy and it went quickly. I never went more than 2 business days without hearing from someone.

If all of your coworkers were in a room with us but you weren't there, what do you think I would learn about you after leaving that room?

Interview
Nice interview and interviewee. Did my first phone call interview and everything seems nice and straight to the point. I was informed about the pay and busy seasons but looking at the previous reviews, it is kind of making me raise some eyebrows.
A Personality test online, then a skills test online mostly math based questions, Phone interview, in person interview. Meet with multiple people from multiple departments. Did not describe on answer job specific questions I had.
