Had a phone screen a few days after the application.
They were. nice, but never really listened to anything I had to say during the 20 minute interview. I'd talk about my experiences, give out examples with numbers, and the follow up with a question that I'd already answered. Specifically, when asked "what size ARR clients have you managed" I talked about the ARR size, as well as the number of employees, and some other specifics, and the follow up question was " what size companies have you managed"......
It became clear at some point that the interview was just a formality, and the role had either been filled, they'd found enough candidates for the next phase, they simply were not interested anymore, or it's part of their (marketing) strategy to take on interviews with no intention to progress.
Either way, it's a shame really because it's a company that had admired previously. I'd preferred to them being honest with me before taking the interview, and just saying, sorry - we've decided to <whatever reason> so we're no longer needing to move forward with your interview, instead of wasting both of our time and faking listening to me.
