I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Penn State (State College, PA) in Feb 2019
Interview
It was about a 20 minute process, and I met with who would be my supvisor and 4 other peers. They have your resume printed out in front of them, and highlighted sections of it. They have prewritten questions that they take turns asking.
The hiring process involved multiple rounds of interviews with long delays between each stage. Communication was inconsistent, and there were periods of several weeks, and in some cases months, without any updates or responses. This lack of timely feedback made the experience highly anxiety-inducing and created significant uncertainty throughout the process.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Penn State (Harrisburg, PA) in Mar 2024
Interview
The initial interview is over the phone. It was pleasant but difficult to gauge over the phone. The process seems to take a long time. However, that seems common nowadays anyway. I am unfamiliar with the process beyond the initial interview.
