I had 7 interviews for this position. During the first, salary expectations were clearly stated and I was told my expectations were within range. Most of the interviews were informative and enjoyable, and the team seemed very knowledgable and intelligent. Nearly two weeks after my last interview, I was told by talent acquisition that the salary of the role had dropped to 70% of my expectation. I withdrew at this point, but am displeased with how much time I wasted on this process. Warning to future applicants, there are a lot of interviews and they may not be straightforward about compensation.
