Pretty standard interview pattern: HR phone screen, manager behavioral a week later. Another week later a technical interview with two engineers then a week later a final interview loop consisting of three interviews: PM, engineering with tech lead, and behavioral with dept head. Was told I wouldn’t be moving on and was given absolutely no indication why after WEEKS of interviews. Kind of disrespectful and a waste of time.

Interview Process at Dotdash Merritt's (DDM): 1. Phone call with DDM recruiter (Approximately 30 minutes) - Conducted by the DDM recruiter - Basic resume overview to assess your suitability for the role - Compensation/Benefits Convo 2. Video call with the hiring manager + technical interview (Approximately 45 minutes) - Conducted by the hiring manager - Includes: - Cultural/behavioral questions - Technical questions focused on Frontend development 3. Video Technical interview with two senior engineers (Approximately 75 minutes) - Conducted by two senior engineers - Three-part technical interview conducted using CodePen - First part: Manipulating existing HTML, CSS, and JS to display static data on the page using the Swig templating language - Second and third parts: Short JavaScript exercises, such as creating a function to accomplish specific tasks (basic JS knowledge required) - Ability to use Google for reference during the interview 4. Video Final Interview with Director of Product & Engineering (Approximately 1-2 hours) - Conducted by both directors from the same team as you - Primarily focuses on behavioral questions
