Question 1
What are areas of the magazine that you see room for improvement and how would you improve them?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at People Inc. (New York, NY)
Interview
After an initial screen, received a take home assessment. It was three different frontend assignments— relatively easy. However, I have a sneaking suspicion my recruiter forgot to turn them in. Only after following up after submitting a few days later did my recruiter pass them along to the team. I was told the team really liked my work and I’d be moving onto the next round, only to find out the morning of my next interview they filled the position.
Hiring manager no showed the first interview. Felt like my time was not respected as no update was given until I personally reached out. While the interview team seemed pleasant enough, red flags were very apparent. A high level employee is given IC responsibilities, and it's apparent that the team is spread thin and roles are unclear for a large company. Largely feels disorganized. Not worth the 3 days in person.
