The Recruiter was 15 minutes late to our scheduled interview. Not off to a good start.
Then, the recruiter either didn't understand or was unwilling to answer any of the questions I had. She continued to talk over me as though she was reading from a script. It felt like I was talking to someone in a call center rather than a Recruiter for PepsiCo. I also asked if she had taken the time to review my resume because there was no interaction with me as a person. She had no response!
I applied for the Employee Relations Investigator position, which in my understanding would require extensive knowledge of employment law and labor relations. Before the scheduled call time I reviewed the job description, and to my dismay, I discovered that this position has nothing to do with Employee Relations. The title used throughout the description is "HR Coordinator". So in essence, PepsiCo has used a bait and switch technique to get highly qualified candidates to apply for this entry level position.
