I enjoyed the interview process at PermitFlow - it was thorough and rigorous, which shows how thoughtful the team is about bringing in new team members. It gives you a glimpse of how the team works. I had 4 rounds of interviews, including a take home exercise. The team is very fast at giving feedback.

Interview
Got an email from a recruiter 51 days after I initially applied - basically an eternity later.
I was invited to schedule a call, and after doing so, I was told two hours later that the meeting was being canceled with this message from the recruiter: "just got word that we are changing the requirements for this role and will be going in a different direction." Oh really? 51 days after applying you found my resume and decided to contact me and then you "just" got word that you're actually going in a different direction? It's obvious the recruiter didn't do their due diligence to vet my application and made a mistake. It would be more admirable if they'd fess up to the mistake instead of a standard "changing direction" lie.

Interview
DO NOT DO THE TAKE HOME ASSIGNMENT. The company already had an offer out to a candidate and still dishonestly had me do the take home assignment anyway. Like many other reviews here they are dishonest, provide no feedback and simply have no respect for other people's time. I've worked at many startups, hired people myself, and always provided feedback for assignments. I have even pushed back if anyone tried to have late stage candidates do assignments when we were ready or even close to putting out offers to candidates.
During the first whiteboard round the person I interviewed with said they were going to steal my ideas (half jokingly) but I wouldn't be surprised if they take my work from the assignment and use it given it was related an unbuilt feature of their product. I was hesitant based on other reviews here and now I am kicking myself for not listening. The company simply has no integrity or respect for other human beings.
