As others mentioned, I also put hours into a permitting summary for ADUs in San Francisco. The summary I sent through was showed my skills and moved me onto the next interview. The first interviewer and 2nd interviewers were great. The 3rd asked a lot of questions regarding culture/worklife balance/why you're leaving your company etc.....but he pushed a lot on why I was leaving. Must not have liked my answers because, even though I have EXTENSIVE experience in permitting and was very eager for the role, I was not hired. After all of the work I put in and the enthusiasm with which I approached the potential job, it is super unfortunate to be left wondering why....if I have the experience and the enthusiasm....I've been rejected. Maybe it's because I value my work/life balance? Maybe it's because I want a culture of trust? I don't know. All I know is, if someone is putting a great amount of time into your interview process, and they are very qualified for the role.....HIRE THEM!
