I had a bad experience. I cleared two technical rounds. In the HR round, the person was unprofessional with a typical “Lala” mindset. He kept questioning why I was interviewing if I already had a strong offer. I answered once, but he kept pushing the same point and then shifted into lecturing me about “maturity.”
In the end, he said they didn’t have the budget and at the 3.4 yoe, they cant give grade 5.1 but every invitation has the JD and 5.1 grade mention. At that point I was close to losing patience, but I kept it together.
They had already collected all my documents before the HR round, including the actual offer letter(I made a mistake here). After getting everything, they backed out. I had already set expectations clearly, and the recruiter knew that. The culture shows itself in moments like this.
