I applied through other source. I interviewed at Persistent Systems (Hyderābād) in Jul 2025
Interview
I truly appreciated the Level 1 discussion, which was engaging and well-structured. However, I’d like to raise a concern regarding the evaluation methodology used in the Level 2 round.
During the interview, I was asked to respond to scenario-based questions via an Excel sheet. While I provided written responses, I also supplemented them with detailed verbal explanations. Unfortunately he did not considered any verbal explanation, I later learned that only the Excel entries were evaluated—"using ChatGPT"—without consideration of the oral context shared during the live discussion.
This approach raises important questions:
- How can an AI tool evaluate responses without access to the full verbal exchange?
- What is the role of the panel if the final judgment is delegated to a third-party tool?
- Why weren’t candidates informed that AI would be part of the evaluation process?
Had I known that my written responses would be assessed by an AI tool, I would have tailored them accordingly with more technical terminology and structured formatting.
I believe this situation highlights the need for a consistent and transparent **Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)** across all interview panels in persistent. Such an SOP could include:
- Clear guidelines for capturing both written and verbal inputs.
- Disclosure of AI tools used in evaluation and their scope.
- A hybrid model where human judgment and AI insights complement each other.
- A feedback mechanism that reflects the full context of candidate responses.
In my feedback, my panellist mentioned that interviewer don't listen what you say. Which is I felt as no use of speaking or interaction. few suggestions on resume I will think of it, but till now no one pointed on it.
I strongly feel interview is an interaction. you company relay on chat GPT. give those descriptive questions by giving them laptop and this will help you conducting interview in one shot.
I remain enthusiastic about opportunities with Persistent Systems and hope this feedback contributes to a more equitable and transparent interview process for future candidates.

It was very smooth and fast interview process. recruiter and interviewer are attentive. Interviews are little difficult and project based. Mostly they will ask scenario based question. like they will give you a scenario and you have to give approach.
