I recently went through a frustrating and disappointing interview process, and I feel compelled to share my experience to help others avoid the same situation.
Incorrect Job Posting: The HR team scheduled my interview for the wrong position. This caused confusion from the start, as I was under the impression I was applying for a different role.
Broken JD Link: The Job Description (JD) link sent to me in the interview confirmation email didn’t work. As a result, I couldn't even review the details of the position before the interview.
Irrelevant JD on the Portal: When I accessed the JD on the company portal, it belonged to a completely different role at a different company. This made it clear that the details provided were entirely mismatched.
Lack of Communication: After realizing these issues, I attempted to reach out to the HR representative multiple times through email, phone calls, text, and even WhatsApp. However, I was completely ignored for three days.
Last-Minute Indifference: With only a few hours left before the interview, I received no acknowledgment of the previous communication failures. The HR team acted as though nothing was wrong and had not even bothered to check their emails or address any of the concerns.
No Show at the Interview: The HR team repeatedly stressed the importance of being on time for the interview. However, when I logged in, there was no one from the panel to conduct the interview. I waited for the entire hour, tried reaching out multiple times through calls, texts, and emails. Once again, I was ignored.
Day After - Denial of the Issue: The next day, the HR representative finally answered my call but acted as though nothing had happened. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the complete lack of professionalism and communication.
Extremely Unprofessional: This entire experience has been extremely unprofessional and frustrating. I never expected this level of negligence and lack of basic courtesy from a company like Persistent. It's incredibly disappointing and has made me question whether I would ever want to work with such a disorganized organization in the future.
This entire process felt like a complete waste of time, and it’s concerning that such unprofessional behavior can come from a well-known company. I would advise anyone considering opportunities here to be cautious.
