I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PetSmart (Rocklin, CA) in Feb 2016
Interview
Was interviewed by two ladies who were taking notes in a small office. They were nice and welcoming, and it was a very casual interview. First they asked what my favorite pet was. Then they asked me to try to sell them something, they asked what my goals were, and if I has any experience in this area. They also asked what I would do if a customer asked a question that I didn't know the answer to.
Was asked some basic questions pertaining to my knowledge of animals, customer service, etc. It was probably about 30 minutes long and pretty basic. I'd say it's the typical process for a first job for a teenager.
very simple, one on one interview. asks basic questions! felt like talking to a friend instead of having a tense interview. got to know my manager in the process which was nice.
