I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PetSmart (Phoenix, AZ) in May 2015
Interview
I submitted my resume and was contacted my the HR recruiter. From there, I moved forward, HR scheduled a phone interview with one of the hiring managers. At the end of the conversation, the hiring manager said they would recommend me to come in for an on site interview. Some time did elapse before I was contacted.
Like most companies, if they call you in to interview, expect a half a day of interviews.

There seem to be no standard questions asked by the HR team nor the hiring managers. PetSmart has had a vast amount of new talent coming from various companies.
That said, expect to begin with the usual: giving them an overview of your resume, etc.
