I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PetSmart (Houston, TX) in Jun 2013
Interview
Applied online, got called in for first interview by co-manager which went pretty well; asked simple question such as when I could work, if I had any animals, what kind and how many. Called in for second interview by Pet Care Manager, asked me questions such as if I was comfortable with small animals, scorpions, tarantulas, etc. Then a week later called in for final interview by Head Store Manager, negotiated pay rate, hours, and drug testing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If an animal died while under your care, what would you do?
This interview was simple and easy. The manager had a laid back atmosphere. Straightforward interview with usual questions. Took about thirty minutes to finish and it was only one interview.
Managers are very nice but pay isn’t great. Interview was very easy. Great place to work, but hard to live off of the income they offer. Have to have a love and passion for animals
