I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PetSmart (Houston, TX) in Oct 2013
Interview
Short and brief interview, nothing hard. Managers asked if you are available to work weekends (that is when it mostly gets busy). Also ask how well you speak to a customer. Next interview (couple of days later) they give you the option whether or not you want the job. If you do accept, they tell you the nasty part of working in grooming. They tell you how dirty one gets by the end of the shift. I was a little skeptical after the one the managers told me this. Most importantly they want you to love animals. If you are not one whom loves pets, then do not apply.
Very short, to the point with questions about yourself and your current career and it requires a phone call with the Salon Leader after the initial interview. You must also speak with the store leader
I applied online. I interviewed at PetSmart (Vienna, WV) in Apr 2024
Interview
Applied online, received text messages, then received a phone call to set up an in person interview, showed up 2 managers were present, asked a few questions, professional and personal like where I want to go, what other experiences I have, thoughts on other things, 2 days later I believe it was, I got a call offering me the job and giving me the start day
You go in and talk to the store manager with the usual interview questions about strengths and weaknesses. No need to worry, very simple and easy. Process is very smooth
