The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Petco (Studio City, CA) in Jun 2011
Interview
I went into the store in June and asked if they were hiring for the summer. I left my resume and got a call back the next day. They told me to come into the office to interview with a store manager the following week. The interview consisted of the manager reading questions off of a sheet the company had provided for her, which made it horrible but easy. I got a call the next day saying I got the job and I accepted.
This started as an open group interview, that then moved to individual interviews. The group process happened in the front of the store, with the individual process moving to the office. Overall quick and painless.
It was pretty easy. The interviewer asks questions provided by Petco. My interview was short as the interviewer wanted it to go quick, but I don't believe this is the norm. Many questions are related to having a previous job.

Question 1
Are there any animals you are uncomfortable handling?
It was easy just talk about how you are with animas. I had experience so I just talked about that and they were very happy to hear about it. So don’t worry
