I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Petco (Miami, FL) in Feb 2014
Interview
I applied back in early January 2014, around the 5th I believe.
She called me at 1:30pm on February 21 2014and we had a short interview over the phone, where she asked me a couple of questions on my application - are you still working at ___ place, are you willing to leave __ place if hired at Petco, do you speak Spanish. Once I answered those questions, she asked me to come in for a formal interview at about 2:30pm the same day.
Once I drove there, she took me to a small office where she sat me down, and we had a very laid back interview. I honestly didn't think of it as much of an interview.

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do you have experience handling customers during a rush?
It was a basic sales job interview. Basically they want to know you are a hard worker and kind to animals. I don't think they really care as long as you are willing to work hard.
The interview process is very easy. They are not too picky, they just want to make sure that you will work and can comprehend the simple parts of the job. And that you are okay with small animals.
