*let me just say before i proceed that will Pfizer will waste your time.
i was contacted by two different company recruiters that were seeking candidates, specifically "diversity candidates."
needless to say i was pretty excited etc. the first recruiter had me in mind for a particular role that was in the americas. the second, was newer recruiter that had me in mind for a site leader role in st. louis.
needless to say i was scheduled for numerous interviews etc etc etc only to find out that both roles had "strong internal candidates" one of which had TWO "strong internal candidates." when i brought this fact up, basically saying that we are wasting each others times for a "show interview" there was no denial on their end, however, "it was good to put my name in the ring for future opportunities?" so arent these two roles im interviewing for NOW, "future opportunities?"
and of course i was told that i could "reach out if i had any additional questions "which i did. upon further questioning i was told "i would be contacted further if they heard anything..."
of course i heard nothing.
what really hurts is that being a person of color that other so called "persons of color" would just use me as an obvious metric to say "hey, we talked to many qualified diversity candidates for the role, but...." smh
i would strongly suggest that anyone considering a role at Pfizer to think twice about it. if there are ANY internal candidates being considered do not waste your time.
i was used to create "fake work" for everyone from the internal executive recruitment team to the so called panel interview team etc. whats even worse, they wasted their own time as well scheduling an interview they already knew that was a facade. i call it "going through the motions".
that factoid only should tell you all you need to know about the culture at Pfizer. id be VERY wary of the "5 star" company reviews. that data point alone should be a tell-tale sign of the facade they produce. in my opinion the 2-3 star reviews would be more accurate
