Interview Experience – Full Stack Developer
I recently went through a 3-round interview process for a Full Stack Developer role.
Round 1 (30 mins):
This round started with a basic DSA problem, which was straightforward. It was followed by questions about my projects, including features I had implemented and my overall approach. I was also asked a few basic JavaScript coding questions and a simple SQL join query. The round was well-structured and went smoothly.
Round 2 (30 mins):
This round was conducted by a senior system architect with extensive experience. The discussion focused more on my project—how data flows through the system, how it is handled, and architectural aspects. It was more conceptual and discussion-based, and overall a positive experience.
Round 3 (30 mins):
This was the most challenging round. The interviewer went deeper into decision-making—why I chose certain technologies, trade-offs, pros and cons, database decisions, and deployment strategies. It was a good test of practical understanding and reasoning.
After completing all three rounds, I was informed by HR the next day that I had cleared all rounds and that they would follow up regarding payroll and next steps.
However, after that communication, there was no further response. Despite multiple follow-ups via calls and email, I did not receive any update.
Overall Experience:
The interview process itself was structured and technically engaging, with a good mix of coding, system design, and project discussion. However, the lack of communication after clearing all rounds was disappointing and could be improved.
