I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Phorest Salon Software (Dublin, Dublin) in Feb 2022
Interview
Stage 1- A phone screening with HR
Stage 2- A 30 min interview with hiring manager & HR
Stage 3 - McQuaig's mental agility and personality tests
Stage 4 - A 45 minute interview with country manager & hiring manager
Phone screening was very positive. 1st interview was hard to know how it went and I wasn't given an indication as to when I would hear back. The following week there was no update, so I reached out and was told I was moving forward to the McQuaig's tests. After completing the tests the turnaround was a lot faster, and I had the final interview stage two days later. Final interview went very well, good rapport with the interviewer, and he emphasised that my experience and my test results were very appealing. He went through my CV and asked about my experience/studies. Nothing too difficult. He asked about my current and previous manager and what they would say I need to work on. I didn't have a lot to offer on this as I didn't receive that kind of feedback from them unfortunately and didn't want to make something up for the sake of it. At the end of the two interviews both interviewers answered my questions very well and gave a good insight into the role and company. I had the final interview on a Friday and I was advised I would be updated on the outcome the following Tuesday evening. A week after that I still hadn't heard anything so I reached out and was told I wasn't the perfect fit for the role. I thanked them for the opportunity and asked for feedback on my application so I could improve going forward. Unfortunately this request was ignored. The lack of communication/updates was disappointing and changed the overall experience as a result.

Interview
1. Phone Screening 2. Interview with Team Lead 3. McQuaig Test 4. Final meeting with Team Lead and another business Lead. Process was long but overall it was clear that they wanted to find the perfect fit for the role, After completing all rounds I was told I would hear of outcome in the following days. I followed up 5 days later to be told there was one more candidate to interview and I would hear back by end of week. Unfortunately I never heard back at any point after this which was very disappointing after going through multiples stages.

Question 1
What can you bring to Phorest and why should we hire you?
Thank you so much for the feedback. As we have received a very large amount of applications for this role, the interview process is still ongoing. Depending on the role and volume of interest, the response timeframe varies, so we apologise if you feel, that in this instance, it felt longer than usual. The reason for our tiered interview process: we want to hire A-players who will love working in Phorest and this takes some time to determine.
