I applied online. I interviewed at Phorest Salon Software (New York, NY) in May 2023
Interview
It started as fair in the beginning. Then it got to a bit longer delays, rescheduled meetings and apologies for the same - that sort of thing. After a round of 6 interviews and 50+ emails exchanged, i got to the last one. So far i got i believe with flying colours. Why do i say this - because me and the interviewers clicked, talked smoothly and openly and on some of the interviews after the technical assessment, they didn't even had any questions since the job on my part was beyond what they expected. When i got to the last interview it was with someone in the managerial roles. His behaviour was for the most part passive-aggressive. The key questions which he had evolved around the subject - Who didn't like You the most in that previous company? What will they say if i call them and ask about You. I guess it was fine up until i got rejected with no apparent reason. I was suppose to have a follow-up call or email explaining what happened which i never got. I expressed my disappointment / amusement through email and i also demanded an explanation which i never got. I do believe that for the most part if not fully - my rejection was due to the last interview which was in my opinion more philosophical rather than something concrete. Even so, that interview went by okay as well and am still not sure what happened. My revolt here is that the whole process dragged for about 3-4 months with many interactions and stages of interview which passed good if not great, all so that at the end i am denied because of ... reasons. Things could've been solved sooner / earlier stages and after such a long process i should've gotten an explanation of what exactly happened and how they made their decision.
