      Solutions Architect Interview

      Apr 20, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Indianapolis, IN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Pindrop (Indianapolis, IN) in Mar 2016

      Interview

Seemed like very rapidly growing company and interesting technology. Unfortunately the interview process was very disjointed. Multiple rescheduling of conversations with internal recruiters and then with technical interviews, 2 of the reschedules were within an hour of the scheduled time. After passing (I guess?) an online skills assessment Pindrop scheduled another interview, which ended up being a purely technical interview with no opportunity to learn more about Pindrop or what makes employees succeed in roles there. The person conducting this interview didn't even explain their role at Pindrop before beginning technical questioning. Like I mentioned earlier I was excited about the role and technology in play, but the interview left a very sour taste in my mouth, I guess the feeling was mutual since several days later I received an email thanking me for my time. I reflected on the interview for several weeks before posting this because I wasn't sure if maybe it was just my ego was bruised by the interview process, but after consideration I was amazed at the absurdity of the interview process. The pre screening process is broken considering how far I got in the process believing I was qualified relative to what the interviewer made it clear he was looking for.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Pindrop (Indianapolis, IN) in Aug 2021

      Interview

Went through multiple steps of interviews all the way to the executive level. Was then told that they last minute decision to go with an internal candidate. Waste of time interviewing.

      Mar 28, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pindrop (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2016

      Interview

I was interviewed briefly over the phone, then asked to fly to Atlanta for an in-person interview. I interviewed with a half dozen people and was posed a handful of problems to solve. Some were coding and some were customer related. After the interviews, I flew back home. I was offered a position the next morning.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

One of the things I was asked to do was to use the knowledge I had obtained during the interview and my own personal research prior to the interview to explain / present Pindrop's solution (in technical terms) to a customer -- specifically how it would integrate with their environment.
