Pindrop will give you a challenging online technical test very early on. Questions range from very specific such as "What SIP method is used to do XYZ" to more open ended scenarios like "If X happened, and Y was the case, how would you do Z?".
Following that you are interviewing by a member of the Solutions team. This particular interview homed in on my Linux experience. I was asked things like "Which tool might you use for X" etc. And was more relaxed and just generally about my background and interests in telecommunications.
Finally I was interviewed by the department manager. His questions were worded openly which almost forces you to be quite descriptive in your answer. I sometimes felt his open questions required a very specific answer, but found it tough to home onto it. For example, I was asked what would happen if a UA didn't respond to a packet - and of course there's multiple possible answers as the handling of that situation that isn't inherently part of SIP. On reflection, perhaps being less descriptive in my answers would have been a better choice.
Regardless they were all nice guys and a pleasure to interview with. The next stage would have been an onsite interview but unfortunately didn't get that far.
The talent team were kind enough to give me a call with some feedback on the interview process which was much appreciated.
