At first, the person seem fine with accepting my current year of experience since they reached out via email.. but while I was continuing my search for jobs, I noticed they changed the job title from "Software Engineer" to a "Senior Software Engineer" and added more YOE in the description.
A week later I had the phone interview and it was your average typical interview with a recruiter. Again.. they seem fine with my YOE as they let me know about what I can do at the company and the salary range. I was fine with it and did not push for more nor expected more. The next day I received an automatic denial email.
