I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Pinterest (New York, NY) in Mar 2019
Interview
I was referred by a friend and was contacted by the recruiter within a couple days. First there was a very simple recruiter screen, followed by a call with the hiring manager where she asked mainly situational and technical questions. A few days later I received an invite to come onsite for a 4 person interview. Prior to the onsite I was given a data set and had to prepare an analysis in the form of a presentation. All interviewers had different sets of questions and topics to focus on. Some of the questions were challenging but fair! As long as you prepare in advance you will do well. I got excellent feedback but ultimately the position was given to an internal hire.

Recruiter screen went very quickly, so quickly I could not tell whether I did well or not. She didnt ask any follow up questions, so I couldnt tell how she was assessing me or not either.
