Had an initial chat with hiring manager, then coding screen and then onsite. Thought I did well but was told I didn't answer one question well - though I did provide multiple solutions. The exact words used by the recruiter were - "did a poor job going in depth" but I provided two solutions and this was looked upon poorly as someone who "switched up". Funny how the recruiter of all people could give such criticism without having even been part of the interview process but tells you a lot about the culture at Pinterest where event the recruiters are that subjective and arrogant. Super subjective but I feel like this is a rather woke company with DEI hires for recruiters who then use abrasive language if you don't translate your interview into an offer for their own benefit. Also - seems like the interviewer who gave this opinion about my answer was unsurprisingly caucasian so he plays the part of virtue signaling but in all likelihood dinged my candidacy since he was looking for a caucasian candidate. Awful and unsupportive place to work unless you are of their mold - racist, arrogant, presumptuous and entitled. Steer clear.
