Initial negotiation for salary broke down because it was 30K less than what I was expecting, however, I got a call back a few days later and immediately went to the face to face interview bypassing the phone screen. On the day of the interview which was scheduled for 60-75 minutes, the interview went beyond to about 120 minutes. The hiring manager was taking notes on the laptop, but it was more like information gathering session rather than a job interview. A lot of hypothetical situations and design questions were asked, and the responses were noted on the laptop. I felt like the interviewer was gathering ideas for his current project using the candidate's knowledge. After a few days, I got positive feed back from the initial interview, but was asked to submit documents on projects that I have worked on in the past. This was the RED flag. This guy was definitely just gathering information using the interview as an excuse. Not very professional. Avoid this company at all cost.
