I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Plasma-Therm (Saint Petersburg, FL) in Jan 2016
Interview
I was asked to give a 30 min presentation on a topic related to the company's services/products. The interview team was great, I had 30 min interviews with a few members of the team. The CEO was very approachable and responsive.
There were a few minor issues while interviewing with this company:
- I was not offered a lab tour, I thought this was a bit unusual as it always helps to make a decision/accept an offer if you get to see the work environment
- Some travel expenses were not compensated. While I understand that it is a small company, the candidates need to be informed prior to the interview regarding the reimbursement process. Note that reimbursement using a W-9 form will be taxable.
- Requests for updates on the hiring process were ignored.
