1 phone screen with recruiter (resume, background review and alignment to job)
1 phone screen with hiring manager
1 onsite, 4 rounds 45min each, focused on different themes (TPM skills, Technical skills, Stakeholder+Cultural fit, Manager Interview)
About 1 week turn around time at each step. Onsite was well planned. Recruiter was very responsive and engaged over email. Did receive post interview rejection reply in time (dint leave me dangling) and with some high level feedback.
Results were a shock since I thought I had the interview in the bag, but turns out one person on the panel can derail it all. I was dinged on technical experience, when possibly the two technical people on my panel were not networking folks, so possibly dint grasp all the data structure choices, protocol decisions I used in my discussion and one of them thought I lacked networking knowledge (after 11 years in networking field as hardcore routing/switching development and EPM on projects in same domain). But no grudges, on to the next opportunity.
Overall, great folks I interacted with, and it left a positive impression about their process.
