I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PlayStation (San Diego, CA)
Interview
phone screening first, and then onsite. Met 4 groups of people when onsite, the questions from management are mostly behavior questions, and the rest of them were technical, but not very hard. Asked some Java/C++ related questions. That's it. After on-site interview, waited for a couple of weeks and got the offer. The salary in the offer was disappointing but they insist that's their best offer. I took it in the end.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at PlayStation (London, England) in Jun 2025
Interview
Take-home assignment, and they asked me a hard problem on Leetcode to solve. I solved that question, pushed it into the GitHub repo and submitted it to the interviewer. They rejected me with an invalid reason, stating that my approach was wrong and ghosted me later on.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at PlayStation
Interview
I applied online and got a phone screen about a month later. It was a pleasant conversation, and they immediately offered me a second round interview. Four hours before that interview was to take place, they called me and cancelled saying they hired another person. Very unprofessional.
