I applied via a staffing agency. A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. I interviewed in October 2020. The interview was super early because not only I was interviewing in the main San Mateo office, but it also involved personnel in the London branch. I was no stranger to this because I worked in the gaming industry previously and was involved in early morning meetings involving our branches based in Europe. It was mostly about my experience and the "three things" that I possess. The interviewers were nice people. But I felt they purposefully rushed through it just to beat the 30 minute time. We didn't have time to go over my questions because I had a lot listed just to amplify my interest in the position and further demonstrate my competency in this role. This position fell in line with what I did previously in my incumbent field having worked in two prominent multinational publishing companies within the gaming industry. The process was quick and convenient, which I found a bit odd since the industry is notorious in having a lengthy process to interview candidates. Unfortunately, I didn't get the offer even if I did have the skills and experience they were looking for and I was local to the Bay Area as well.
