After dedicating over 4 months to a thorough recruitment process, I faced rejection. This was particularly disheartening given my unemployment status at the time. Throughout the process, I was considered a top candidate and engaged in a design test, an in-person interview, and 5 follow-up interactions with talent acquisition management between September and January. However, despite consistently experiencing 2-week delays in follow-ups, the reason for rejection was communicated only at the very end. I was informed that I was deemed more suitable for a UX senior role, the decision came for minimal and unclear reasons, and the company opted to move on to another candidate. This feedback came in late January, after 4 months waiting.
