I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Plymouth Rock Assurance (Boston, MA) in Sep 2014
Interview
After applying, had a 30 minute phone interview with HR. After the phone interview, went in for a 1 hour sit down interview with the manager and was hired the day after. Fairly streamlined and easy interviewing process.

Interview
You first have a quick phone call with an HR rep to understand your interests better. Then you have a 45 minute interview with a person who you would be working with closely. After that you have back to back interviews with two more people from the company. They communicate very well and truly want to see how you'll fit in with the team.
The interview was short with several managers of the department I was interviewing over, We went over my resume and I gave examples of past experience/project work. Technical questions were mostly related to skills and projects listed on my resume with some problem-solving-related questions.
