Plymouth Rock Assurance interview questions

I had seven interviews for a manager role with minimal to no supervisory experience. It was ridiculous. The first interview was with the talent acquisition person, who liked me enough to set up an interview with the hiring manager. My second interview was with the hiring manager, who, during the call, informed me that I was in. The third interview was with a colleague, followed by the fourth with another person on a different team. Then, I was informed by talent acquisition that they wanted me to come in and tour the building, as well as meet the hiring manager face-to-face. I went in to tour the building and met with another talent acquisition person, who reinterviewed me; that’s number five. The hiring manager arrived, and we had a brief conversation. Again, she said it was a resounding YES across the board. Then, I met with the data person and all the students, number six. Then, finally, before they can officially offer me the job, I have to meet the VP. Here comes interview number seven. Everyone said he wasn’t a micromanager, and it was just a meet-and-greet for him to get to know me. He liked me, but the only thing I lacked out of the 20 checkboxes I aced was that I never “reviewed people” I managed. This is true, but that is trainable. I’ve managed teams of 10 and 15. The next day, the talent acquisitions person called me and said it wouldn’t be a deal breaker. We were discussing salaries and background checks. Then, two days later, I received a call stating that not reviewing people is a deal breaker and that they would rather start from scratch and interview other candidates instead of offering me the role. If this is how the place conducts business, then RUN. The VP is new to the company and tends to be a micromanager. He doesn’t trust his directors to make sound decisions for their team. Please don’t waste your time with this company, as they surely don't mind wasting yours.
