I applied online. I interviewed at Point72 (Hong Kong)
Interview
Applied for full time in Hong Kong. First received a hirevue (one question in mandarin) and got invited to complete a stock pitch on Nintendo. Rejected after the HR interview (fit questions)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nintendo (need valuation and recommendation)
Why investing? Extracurricular etc.
Interviewed first with internal HR who vetted which sector and geography I wanted to be in. Was then set up with an interview with a pod PM in a sector I had no experience in, Pre-PM interview I went back to HR and told them I no sector expertise in this area nor any desire to be in that sector, told me to take the interview anyway then I never heard back.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked how my background would translate to pod investing.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Point72 (New York, NY) in May 2023
Interview
This was a very long process. Screeners, case studies, on sites etc. Some of it was very repetitive as well. I do not recommend. Some of the people are super nice but this went on way longer than it should have.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Lots of situational questions, case studies and on site.
Quite easy. Very nice interviewers. They were quite open to all my questions, seemed very interested in my background. 3 interviews lasting 30 minutes each. Most of the questions were behavioral with a little bit of technicals regarding my background.
