I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Polaris FT (Gurgaon, Haryana) in May 2012
Interview
I got a call from a staffing agency which told me about the opportunity in Polaris for Sr. Software Engineer in .Net area. I gone thru two rounds, i.e. written technical test and a technical face to face round. Everything was good till I faced HR round. The person was aged (forgot to ask his name) and with a rude attitude. After 2-3 initial questions, that HR randomly picked out my third last company in which I worked for 3 years (2.5 years back) and asked how that company was paying me salary. I said that salary account transfer was done. Then he asked if they were deducting any Provident Fund or not. Then I said it was a small company in a small city, that's why they may not be deducting PF. He said that how I can prove that a company which is not deducting PF can be genuine (in his rude manner) I replied that company is registered and working from 6 years, I have all the required formal letters from all my previous employers and my current employer is deducting PF. I also said that I can get whatever documents you require. But he didnt listen to me at all and just stopped me from attending the final round and said first you have to prove that particular company is not fake. I never heard such things from any company and was really looking forward for this opportunity and quite disappointment when I was put down on hold just due to the reason that my older company didn't deduct PF. May be HR was finding reasons to disqualify candidates on such reasons because I got excellent marks in written test as well as F2F technical round also gone excellent. In the technology specialization test also I got full (5/5) marks. So I was quite amused when I was found to be disqualified on such reasons. SO he couldn't disqualify my candidature on those issues. I also think he disqualified me due to some caste or gender issues because in the way he was talking to me (I am very polite always by nature :) I think is was not in a mood to let me in.
They will focus more on core concepts of software engineering and domain knowldge related financial and banking sector. Once technical cleared and then will have a manger level round and finally HR round.
