One phone interview + onsite interview. For the onsite interview, there are several general coding interviews plus a presentation for my research. Below it is my story after I got an offer from Pony.AI. After comparing with other oppertunities, I decided to accept the full-time offer and signed it. Then I moved on and started to work on my thesis for graduation. After three months, when I asked them the employer's identification number for my OPT application, I suddenly got a notice from HR that my offer is rescinded due to the changes in Pony.ai's staffing needs. I understand that it happens especially when you choose to join a startup company. However, it definitely hurts and completely upsets my plan. I have to squeeeze time to prepare job interviews when writing my thesis. It is even worse for me since I am an international student and I need to deal with my VISA, work authorization and so on. Please be awared of this situation when you choose to join the startup company like Pony.AI.
