I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Pony.ai
Interview
The interviewers are pretty young, most of them with less than 5 years of experience. The thing which really pissed me a lot, they think some kind of entitled and are rude. They ask Leetcode questions and that too directly picked up without really changing the question. I was particularly taken aback since I had solved the coding round in O(nlogn) and by the end of the meeting told them how it can be done in O(n). Even my rounds in Google/FB were much humane than these guys. I have around 13+ years of experience in Linux and have shipped far more products then some of these guys. The most painful point was getting rejection even after solving the problem. If I had not solved the problem, I would have accepted rejection. This bad experience should get highlighted so that recruiter take correct actions.
Standard phone interview/screening; hour-long technical interview with Leetcode-style question, followed by a 4-hour long onsite with behavior/cultural fit and a systems architecture question. They were very interested in knowing how you would think about designing a system from the ground up and how you would solve problems
