I applied in-person. I interviewed at Post Office (Ryde, England) in Aug 2011
Interview
Very basic, there was a hand written advert in branch that I saw, asked for an application form. They phoned me within days for an interview. The actual interview was held in the stock room of the Spar shop the branch is located in, the interview was held by the Spar stores Operational Manager and the Post Office branch manager, they told me the basics of the job, and asked me about previous employment, it then turned into general chat, very relaxed and non professional, but ended with a great job
Easy very informal and relaxed atmosphere
Great place to work as as always busy
Interview process was very easy, made sure to have plenty examples of customer service provision. Would recommend
