Interview
The interview process was really bizarre, especially for an EdTech Company. And the odd part is to conduct hiring drive via a ThirdParty.
The first round itself was a virtual GD which I believe wasn't necessary at all since there are better ways to evaluate communication of a candidate or much better if the verbal assessments are taken beforehand and then selected candidates can go for further rounds of "Actual Valuable Discussions". (At least for the folks who come with experience)
The second round was UCAT, 40 questions in 15 minutes, very basic and it was fine, the worst thing is that you don't get to know the result/score.
The third round is "Writing Assessment" which actually didn't require any "writing" rather it was a verbal comprehension test, fill in the blanks type of questions, very similar to the second round, again, odd and unnecessary. No results/transcripts/score as well. How can one ever know how bad or good or close the performance was.
The transcripts/answers would never be revealed to the candidate, which should be the number one thing that candidate deserves to know as it may work as constructive feedback for them to improvise for future opportunities, which should be the only normal practice of any organization rather keeping it a mystery.
This is what EdTech is in today's era, unable to provide logical feedback to candidates and waste their time significantly. Probably such bad interview experiences should only be for Freshers to learn and experience how to crack better company interviews.
