I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Pratt & Miller Engineering (Huntersville, NC) in Aug 2019
Interview
I came through a recruiting company and started with a phone interview. The recruiting company totally mislead me on the position details and I was surprised I got past the first interview as I was caught completely off guard.
The 2nd interview was again by phone but with a different person.
3rd interview was in person, with 1 on 1s and group questioning.
All interviews were very similar in questioning style. The questions were almost all "What is X?" style so you need to be able to recite definitions in a textbook manner. 90% of the questions were C# and it's clear several of the interviewers come from low/middle level language backgrounds. There was also the typical Fibonacci white board test.
The remaining 10% were some very simple JS questions. My impressions with the JS questions was they were just throwing me a bone and didn't have any serious JS experience and weren't looking for any.
Overall the process was quick and everyone was very friendly.
I applied online. I interviewed at Pratt & Miller Engineering
Interview
Applied online. Got an email to schedule a phone interview with HR person. Did not receive a call on the scheduled date/time. Emailed them back regarding that and got a call from the HR person. She went over the details about the company and what they do, asked some basic questions. Scheduled a phone interview with the technical lead and hiring manager later that week. The call went over for about 30 min. Questions were basic C#, JavaScript. Later, I followed up with the HR regarding the interview and they said that they wanted to invite me for an onsite interview. But never scheduled the interview. I followed up multiple times, but they never scheduled the onsite and finally they replied saying that the position is filled.
