My experience with the interview process was extensive and initially seemed promising. I underwent five interviews, each about an hour long (except the first one which was an HR interview), with a focus on testing my skills. HR was supportive and gave me the impression that I was the primary candidate. However, during the final interview with the V-level person of the company, the atmosphere changed drastically. The interviewer seemed concerned and brought up issues related to leading a team of Indian professionals, which left me feeling uncomfortable and less confident about securing the position. The process took longer than expected and the communication was inconsistent, creating a hot-cold situation that left me in a state of uncertainty.
Despite my professional experience of over seven years, I was ultimately rejected for the position. The reason given was a supposed lack of depth in backend technologies, a claim that I found surprising and frankly insulting. No specific details or areas for improvement were provided, leaving me with vague and unconstructive feedback. This experience has left me disappointed and questioning the professionalism of the company's hiring process.
